Which Lightweight Double Pushchair Should You Buy?

A light double pushchair makes it simple to move around, especially for families with children of various age groups. They are generally easy to fold, steer and transport up and down the stairs.

It features a clever design that lets you turn it into a single buggy or a double by incorporating 2 carrycots or car seats (it can even accommodate twins). Try the egg2 which folds down to the size and weight of a compact twin stroller suitcase. It can be used either as a double or single by adding 2 carrycots or baby car seats. Our home testers were amazed by how easy it was to move even with a full load of children.

Although they're light double pushchairs side-by-side are not foolproof. If your children are at the same age and stage, they could still fight about who gets to sit in which seat. And if they're different heights, a tandem style might be better for them as it lets them confront each other.

Tandem

While side-by-side models are more appropriate for siblings of the same age tandem pushchairs that are lightweight have their own charms. They can take a bigger car seat, and some even have seats that can be reversible or a carrycot that is located in the middle. They are larger and easy to get into and out of. However, their baskets tend to be smaller than those found on buggies that are single. They also have larger large canopies that have peekaboo windows as well as a cup holder for parents and padded leg cushions for children.

The only drawback is that you'll have to buy a separate baby carrier or car seat.

This versatile tandem is the top choice of our home testers due to the fact that it is simple to maneuver and features an enormous shopping basket that is accessible from both seats when they are in the parent-facing positions. It is easy to maneuver due to its light weight (about the same as a few single pushchairs).
