The upgrade of an Best item upgrade lets players increase an item's gear rating up 700 points and also add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.

Armor

Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll need to work on enhancing it to increase physical strength if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use for the final boss battle as well as the Monter Parts merchant's mask.

You can also unlock some benefits to your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite.
