WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also boosts the random substatus.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by offering the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended that you visit the upgrader each several weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item upgrader kit but they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment. For instance upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same Item level Upgrade from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and Item Level Upgrade accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from item upgrader kit upgrader NPCs in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be used on any weapon or tool with an The button will display the preview of an item's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrades varies based on the slot of the item and current item level and the weapon's price is higher than gloves or bracers for example. First, you must be aware that crests are only available for equipment with a certain rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for endgame gear. These crests can then be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once an item is at the highest level of upgrade item for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl for all their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they are only used for one purpose.
