Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item can be improved through upgrading it, which is also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment boosts the stat linearly.

Players can recycle up to six items at once to gain an indicator of the level of the item level upgrade's upgraded components. The cost of recycling items scales depending on their rarity and level.

Upgrade components

In Guild Wars 2, an upgrade to an item is a method to boost the stats of your armor and weapons. This can be achieved by a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or increasing the rarity of an item or its mark level. Additionally to this, many items can be reforged to increase their stats.

There are items that can be upgraded throughout the game. They are available all over the world as well as rewards for missions. Players can also make them. The animation of glyphs resembles the body language, making them more effective in transmitting an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs also improve the recall of the message by triggering a familiarity in the brain.

Each glyph has a range of values that it could improve a stat by, as shown on the item when you open the glyph in the Glyph Storage or when you use them to enchant an Artifact. This is the highest value that a glyph can enhance a stat by but not the amount it actually increases the stat by. The actual value of the glyph is determined by the tier and the quality of the item you're creating it for.

The majority of upgrade components that are inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without dismantling them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a rune or glyph you don't want to use but it's not been applied to the gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu within the Glyphs Panel. This will create the new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

You can remove any glyph with the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. This will cause the item to be destroyed that it was installed in however, you can salvage the upgraded item using the glyph and its fragments, therefore it should not be considered a loss.

When you take away an item after adding a glyph the shards that are part of the glyph will vanish. You can also apply a glyph to your equipment to give it an extra benefit. For example the glyph Deferred Damage can store damage for the wearer and deal it slowly instead of all at one time. This is helpful for those who take lots of damage from their enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.

Reroll tokens

Reroll tokens can be used to change the affixes of weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from many sources, including mystery boxes and rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player an affix randomly chosen and usually better than what they had prior to. Reroll tokens are also a great method to reroll the stats of a weapon, which can be upgraded to provide better damage or perks.

These rerolled items can be recycled by pressing the "upgrade" button which alters the appearance of the window and allows up to six items to recycle. Rerolling is a fantastic way to upgrade an item. However, players should be aware that the total ilvl is decreased by the number of the rerolls required to bring it to the final ilvl. This effect is most evident on rings and Diadems, because they are the only options for raising ilvl.

Some players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It would be fairer to let people pay for it using money or food items which allows players to make changes to their builds without having to spend excessive amounts of time. The developers do not plan to offer paid rerolls in this stage in the game's development. They plan to add a potion that will allow players to change their race in the near future.

Leveling

There are a variety of ways to upgrade an item. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade which boosts the value of an upgrade for a given stat. The second option is to boost the effect of the upgrade, which boosts damage or healing for the stat. The base item upgrader mod can be upgraded to an advanced upgrade type. After this, the new item will maintain its iLevel but it will have the upgrade effects of the upgraded type of item.
