WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. A random additional substat is also increased with every upgrade.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as useful for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the gear being upgraded however, they will always be cheaper than buying new equipment from other sources. For instance, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, Item Level Upgrade purchasing a similar piece from another player will cost 105.

Upgrades are items that are used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. They are purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool with an The button will show a preview of an item's next level of upgrade, if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the item upgrader mod slot, and the current level of the Item Level Upgrade. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

Using these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it will no longer require Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the best gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially applicable to trinkets and rings that occupy multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to avail the account-wide discount if all slots are full of high-quality gear.
