1. Engine Speed Sensor

The grey wire is situated at the edges of the transmission, above the flywheel ring. The sensor transmits signals through the grey wire to pin T55/49. The ECU then uses this information to control the boost, fuel, and timig. It also sends an indication to the G5 tachometer in the instrument cluster.

The sensor is used to connect with the G40 Camshaft position Sensor. The ecu must know when the crankshaft is TDC and where the camshaft is located so that it can activate spark and injectors according to the situation.

If this sensor fails when it fails, the ECU will display a P00160 error code. This means that the Crank Shaft is out of sync with the Intake Camshaft. 2. Injectors

Yesterday, as i was accelerating off the highway paytoll at maximum speed I noticed a massive decrease in power. It was as if the engine was running out of gas. Or, my injectors were not firing. I pulled out the spark plugs this morning and found that 3 were drenched in gasoline and the 4th was dry. When I crank the engine without sparks i put tissue on the top of each of the injector holes and the 3 drenched with gazoline leap out, however the 4th stays closed. I checked the ground connection of ECU pins 14,30 and 48/55. I got 0ohm. I'm assuming the issue is in another place.

I also tried to reset the PID but without success. The audi car keys will start when the G28 is unplugged, and it works fine when the G28 plugged in. However the intermittent misfire issue persists at higher RPM. The temperature sensor for coolant (G62) shows the wrong temperature value of that is -49c even after unplugging it. 3. Fuel Pump

The fuel pump in the g28 receives a signal from the RPM sensor.
