The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

If you're looking to buy a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models on this list which makes it easier to maneuver in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers one of my top navigation and object avoidance features I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170-minutes if mopping and suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to its dock to replenish its battery mid-clean.

It's extremely quick and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, hallways, and living room in one go. Its motor of 8,000pa is able to pick up dirt hair, pet hair, and even droppings with ease. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it comes into contact with rugs, and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, is not as effective. The rotating mop spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm protrudes out a little more than other robots. This is useful when getting into narrow corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to scoop up larger objects like books and broken toys.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't create as loud of a sound while vacuuming or mopping and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a specific cleaning solution to perform mopping and is sold separately from the vacuum. It's simple to install and performs well, but it's something you'll need to keep an eye on if you're buying this robot vacuum for the sole purpose of it mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It has a robust suite of features that make it an ideal option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This will result in an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes baseboards, corners and other difficult to reach places. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to walls and other fixtures. Additionally, the mop pads can be washed and dried to prevent the build-up of dust and reduce the smell.

Another feature worth mentioning is the customization options that are available through apps. The Q Revo lets you alter the suction level and select a back-and forth or slightly random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which determines how fast it can move around your home. You can also deactivate the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

This device is expensive however it has many useful features. However, it's important to note that it incurs recurring expenses in the form of mopping supplies and maintenance. For example, the brushroll will need to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to 12 months. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.

The X1 Omni's most appealing feature is its huge dock that serves as the robot's charging base and the housing for two 4-liter water tanks, a clean sink as well as the 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base also has a variety of control buttons that let you manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or best Robot Vacuum start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents who are concerned about their children playing with the vacuum.

Another potential downside is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during a cleaning session. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking best robot vacuum, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who came up with its modern, sleek base and mopping pad. It's a major contrast to the utilitarian, all-black bases that are used by rivals like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing sight in a space that is dominated by clunky, boxy units.
