Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that best automatic vacuum cleaner and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry debris and wet messes in one session, without having to switch between devices. They can also save space when compared to two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin, refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from a dedicated dock.

It's among the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide can get you up and running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and also vacuums well. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a range of attachments and brushes and an intuitive app that lets you choose the kind of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

For instance, you could decide to let the robot cleaner with mop take care of a thorough clean-up in the living and kitchen areas but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent, with the robot vacuums with mop being capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only drawback is that it tends to hit walls and objects at a high speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning in the app will tell you precisely what the robot has completed, where it's going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance tasks are required including emptying the debris tray and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, with a 600ml bottle of the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long run time. The mop is able to run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot mop and vacuum, is the newest version. The model of this year features a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could be unable to pick up.

The Roborock model, just like the other two models I tested is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it overcome obstacles like walls, furniture and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can detect objects and determine whether they're an object that is a wall or a different surface. It is able to change its direction automatically and clean the objects without missing a step.

It's the most expensive robot I've ever tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home-button that can take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying, and the bin is auto-filling.

The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't movable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've noticed that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, track battery life and component maintenance. You'll need to jump through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its smart design allows you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 is the first robotic vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which makes it one of the best automatic vacuum and mop options available. This powerful vacuum can clean up the dry mess, which includes pet hair and robots that vacuum and mop food particles. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. Additionally the X40 is quiet in its operation, with only occasional bursts of sound when switching between modes or when completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another noteworthy characteristic is the X40's extendable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture, such as tables and chair legs. The robot can also reach under furniture that is low-profile, making it an excellent option for smaller apartments or condos. The side brush tilts automatically down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that enables the X40 to avoid causing damage to floors through repeated back-and-forth movements.

Contrary to other robots, which are limited to one task, the X40 can mop and vacuum simultaneously. It can also be programmed to eliminate areas with carpets and mop only hard floors, or reverse the process. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

The app is user-friendly and easy to use, and the X40's smart features are a breeze to install. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. They can also adjust suction power, alter modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also track its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to maintain and has numerous features that make it a great choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, then refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is full and notify you when it overflows, thus reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available however, it comes with numerous extra features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature of its mops, uses two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also vacuum up pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and Robots That Vacuum and Mop dirt-stained spots.

Its mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is a great feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuums and mop models and it could be a useful method to keep your home hygienic for longer.

There's a plethora of settings on offer, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or you can use the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and has many options to customize your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of features that aren't offered on other robots, like the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction when it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a metallic-white-white finish that looks elegant and elegant. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-1 robots on this list, at 4kg however it's not overly heavy either, and it feels sturdy and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm of baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
