Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The stats of an item can be enhanced by upgrading it, also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment results in an increase in the linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle six items at a time to gain a gauge for the upgraded component of each item upgrade. The cost of recycling items increases with their rarity and item level.

Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the stats of your weapons and armor. Most upgrade components inserted into items cannot be repaired or replaced without dismantling the equipment in question, except for legendary equipment and upgrades. If, however, you have an unusable rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your gear, you can move it to another piece of gear by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu in the Glyphs panel. This will create an entirely new Glyph Set with the selected glyph.

If you wish to remove the glyph from an item upgrader kit, you will need to salvage it using an Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is placed will be destroyed, but the upgraded item can be salvaged with the glyph shards.

Adding a glyph to an item may cause it to become unstable and the shards of that glyph will disappear from your inventory when you dismantle the item.
