French Door Refrigerator With Ice Maker Review

French-door refrigerators blend design and function. They feature stylish double doors that reveal the large fridge on top, and [empty] a freezer drawer beneath. These refrigerators stand out because of their unique features, including through-the-door dispensers as well as higher-end ice makers.

The refrigerator is expensive and I was expecting better.

Apart from that minor flaw however, this refrigerator is a great choice. It comes with a huge freezer compartment, which is quite uncommon in counter-depth French door refrigerators. Additionally, it holds a fair amount of frozen food when as compared to similar models.

Inside the fridge, there are 17 shelves and compartments. The fridge compartment offers 18.5 cubic feet of space, which is on par for a French door fridge costing this much. It comes with a decent size refrigerator with an ice maker in the left door. However it's not the biggest one I've seen.

You can adjust the shelves in both compartments to make an individual storage solution. The interior design of the GE PYE22PYNFS also looks attractive. The LED lighting adds a nice accent. The storage bins in the door have a third shelf which can be folded down to store tall items. The drawers come with temperature controls that allow you to set them to Meat, Beverage, or Deli settings. The drawers are easy to shut and open, but I found the textured plastic coatings a bit hard on my fingers.

The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator comes with all the features you would expect from a refrigerator within this price range. It has Wi-Fi, app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app, which is available for iOS and Android devices allows you to control your refrigerator from anywhere in the world, and has a ton of customization options. It also alerts you when a door is left open, when the refrigerator or freezer needs defrosting and when it's time to change the filter.

It would be great it GE PYE22PYNFS could offer Precise Fill which is a feature that is available in a few GE refrigerators that allows users to choose the number of cups they would like to disperse. The fridge shows a countdown to reveal how much water remains but it's not as effective as Precise fill.

Bosch Counter Depth french door fridge clearance Door Refrigerator

The Bosch French-door Refrigerator is an impressive product. It's designed to appear like it's a seamless component of your kitchen. The fridge uses fingerprint-resistant stainless steel, which is a great feature for busy households. It also has a vegetable compartment that keeps fruits and vegetables fresher for longer, and two compressors for preserving food. The Ice maker is among the most efficient we've ever tested and produces pyramid-shaped ice with a low water usage. This fridge is ideal for a small household or a kitchenette with an attractive design and top of the line food preservation.

This refrigerator was the highest-rated refrigerator in our Refrigerators test, for several reasons. The temperature of the freezer remained stable at a level that was just above 0 degrees Fahrenheit, never moving more than a fraction of a degree--this is key in preventing freezing burn. The fridge section of the fridge also performed well, reaching the temperature that was set for the initial setting within an hour and keeping the temperature constant over the course of our tests.

Bosch is known for its high-end appliances which is why it's no surprise that this counter-depth refrigerator is also a smart appliance, with the option of connecting to your home Wi-Fi and Bosch's Home Connect platform. The app allows you to control and monitor your refrigerator remotely on your smartphone or tablet. The fridge is a bit expensive, however it has great features and capabilities for the price.

While the fridge is an incredible appliance however, it is important to understand the limitations. You may need to get inventive with tall items since the fridge has a limited shelf space. The shelves are not spillproof and can easily be stained or damaged by sharp items. The trays are easily removed from the fridge. However, they should be cleaned regularly to prevent the growth of mold.

LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

The LG LRFLC2706S counter-depth fridge is a great choice for those who require plenty of space in a small frame. It has a sleek, fingerprint-resistant stainless-steel finish and features thick handles that make them comfortable to grip. The fridge features a standard French door layout, with two rows of shelving with spill-capture and a set crisper drawers. The top shelf to the right can be folded in order to create more space for taller items. There's also a full-width storage drawer for food items and an internal water dispenser.

This refrigerator is equipped with an ice maker making it simple to transfer frozen ice as needed. The freezer also comes with innovative design features like sliding drawers that help you organize your items. It also has a huge bin that holds plenty of frozen food and an container for storing ice.

Smart InstaView panel is a cool feature of the refrigerator. It lets you control the temperature of your fridge and lighting using your smartphone. It's a good way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.

Although the Smart InstaView is a neat feature, it does not necessarily improve the overall performance of the refrigerator. In fact it took a bit longer to defrost and chill food in this fridge than other refrigerators we tested. This could be due to the larger capacity.

Another issue with this refrigerator is its doors. The handles that are sunken allow shorter people to open them from the bottom. However taller people will have a difficult time closing them without slamming. It would have been more effective if they had handles mounted on the front.

The LG Counter-Depth MAX fridge is an excellent choice for those looking to combine the look and feel of a rangemaster french style fridge freezer-door refrigerator with a more efficient design. Its capacity is superior for a counter-depth model and it cools well and has a nice layout. It's also a bit cheaper than the top counter depth refrigerator with an ice maker, which makes it a desirable option.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator

This Frigidaire french door fridge used door refrigerator is a good choice for those looking for a French-door fridge that won't break the budget. It's a simple fridge which may not be as eye-catching as its rivals however it has enough features to make a good option. Its most important feature, the adjustable temperature drawer helps to keep food like vegetables and meat fresher for longer. It also comes with a huge ice maker as well as a water dispenser.

Another nice feature is the "Chill Drawer" that sits above the two crisper bins. The drawer lets you use the majority of the fridge's cooling power to this area, so that you can store foods that require special attention. This feature can be adjusted by using a slider on the outside of the drawer. It is also possible to use this to set a general cooling level for the whole fridge, though I've found that adjusting the general settings tends have a better effect than specific ones.

During my tests, I found that the temperatures of the refrigerator were fairly consistent across different areas of the fridge. Temperatures at the top and bottom of the fridge did not vary much from 38 degrees, and even the middle of the fridge was within one degree of 36. This is a solid performance but does not quite make it to the top of our ratings.

This fridge has a few other neat features, including a temperature-monitoring display that alerts you to fluctuations and provides a forecast for the day ahead. This fridge can be connected with a smart thermostat in order to obtain more precise readings of the internal temperature of your fridge.

The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of stainless steel with a grey body which has a "smudge-proof" finish. It blocks streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
