Lightest Double Stroller

When searching for a lightweight double stroller weight and fold dimensions are important factors to consider. Choosing one that's easy to maneuver and compact when not in use makes it easier to put in the trunk of your car and navigate through airport gates and foreign streets.

The most lightweight strollers have a simple, intuitive fold that allows them to stand up on their own. This eases the burden on the body of the parent. Several also have a wide selection of seating options and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.

Kolcraft Cloud Plus

Designed for families that are on the move. Lightweight with a convenient one-hand compact fold. The front suspension and all-terrain wheels as well as the multi-position reclining seats allow for children to weigh up 50 pounds. The tray for parents and kids as well as a large storage bin and 3-tiered extended canopy with peekaboo window provide maximum sun protection.

The Cloud received one of the lowest scores in our quality tests due to its thin feel with hard plastic seats, and a design that seems outdated. It's also costly compared to other lightweight strollers which is why it's not the best choice in the event you're looking for a budget option.

It's not the lightest stroller but it comes with enough features that it is worth considering. Its swiveling front wheel makes it easy to navigate on flat surfaces and it is able to jump over curbs with little effort unlike other light strollers that veer off course when trying to do the similar thing. The low handle of the Cloud is a drawback, however; it's nearly at knee height, and not adjustable. It's not a comfortable thing to push it with your legs suspended in the air, and it doesn't help that it's not padded.

In our tests, we discovered that the Cloud was easy to set up and open. It's a little more challenging to close the cloud, however. You have to slide a slider, and then push a large white button for it to collapse. This can be frustrating especially if you're juggling kids while you do it.

The Cloud comes with a small but deep storage basket. It can fit an enormous diaper bag. The basket is a bit narrow and you may have to store something inside to reach the back. The Cloud comes with two tray for parents and children with two cup holders each, but they're both too narrow to hold larger bottles or cups.

The stroller is light enough to easily navigate through door frames, which was a major problem for us with other strollers we tested. It folds easily and the handlebars are located close to the ground. Its only flaw is its relatively small storage space, which can feel uncomfortable when filled with kid stuff.
