The Importance of Upgrades in World of Warcraft

Upgrades are new items that increase your stats. These can be used to upgrade your armor, trinkets and weapons.

Item upgrades use a system called "upgrade pity" to determine probabilities. This system is meant to reduce extremes of luck and provide a good safety net while upgrading.

Armor

The item upgrader provides players with the possibility to upgrade the level of equipment of their armor, weapons and trinkets. The upgrades are applied to the gear through a visit to an item upgrader NPC with appropriate currencies. The upgrade of an item will increase the stats on the item.

This NPC is found in every major city, and is located in the corner of the square, near the telephone port. The NPC is able to upgrade any weapon, armor or trinket, with the exception of those which require a quest or crafting.

Note: The equipment you use to apply an upgrade is consumed forever. You cannot have multiple upgrades applied to one piece of equipment. Attempting to apply an upgrade on one already applied will cause the previous upgrade to be overwritten.

Upgrading your gear is a great method to maximize the use of your gear, and increase your damage, survivability and overall power. If you have Benthic equipment that was obtained through the War Within Mythic Dungeon it will be at level 385 and can be upgraded using [Prismatic manapearls]. Upgrades for your PvE gear are account-wide, while upgrades for PvP gear require a specific currency, such as [Valorstones] or [Harbinger Crests[Harbinger Crests]. The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade other items of gear in an armor slot is reduced after the first upgrade of that gear.

Weapons

Weapons are an important element of any successful character. They can be used to fend off a murderous monster, kill an intruder or compete in a target shooting contest. They can also hang on the wall. It is not important how you intend to utilize weapons. It can be upgraded and will change with your playstyle as time passes.

Upgrading weapons can be accomplished by visiting a Blacksmith that has a Weapon Workbench. Located in the right part of the Roundtable Hold hub area, Blacksmith Hewg is a great option to upgrade items your primary weapon. Iji is a Smithing Master located in the northwestern region, "Road to the Manor" located in Liurna. Smithing Master Iji upgrades weapons and armor.

In general, upgrading a weapon will raise the weapon's level by 5. Azerite weapons (see below) or other special weapons will have their ilvl increase by 15 for all upgrades. Players can only have one upgrade in play at any one time. If you attempt to apply an upgrade to a weapon that has another upgrade applied it will fail and the weapon will revert back to its previous ilvl.

In addition to increasing the weapon's level of a weapon upgrades also give it additional stats that can be used to boost its power. Some of these improvements will be passive while others can provide greater damage, speedier attack as well as increased range or strike chance.

Ashes of War weapons are awarded when certain raid bosses are defeated. Other upgrades can be added to weapons with Whetblades which are rare items that unlock new Affinities to infuse the weapon with.

Once a weapon is fully upgraded the weapon will continue to receive upgrades as long as the player has the proper upgrade materials and currency in the table. Be aware that weapons are only able to reach ilvl 25, and no higher. Players should upgrade their weapons only after they've obtained the maximum number of upgrades that are possible from the regular and Whetblade item.

Trinkets

The Trinkets can provide a range of Boosts. They can be upgraded as other equipment through direct interaction with the Item Upgrader.

You can find an item upgrader in the town of Stardew Valley. To access it, you must remove any weapons or armor. The NPC will then appear with the red banner "Equiped" over his head.

If you select him, he will give you the option to upgrade your weapon or armor. You will need to bring the currency as well as the items to the NPC. The NPC will then upgrade your equipment by one level.

The Item Upgrader NPC is available in various locations throughout the game world. They are listed on the map under the Locations tab. Certain NPCs offer upgrades only for certain kinds of equipment while others can upgrade item any item. Some NPCs also offer additional benefits that are accessible to those who complete quests with them. The NPC at Shattering Rift gives players a new toy if they destroy the Ancient Beast. Similarly, the NPC at Eastern Guard Tower offers a unique trinket to those who defeat the Ancient Beast.

Set Pieces

Generally upgrading an item can increase its value but there are some exceptions. If an item is limited in its usage due to high requirements (whistan's shield, for example is available only to FB Sorcs) or has a low base stat, however, it is possible to increase its stats in value, it will receive low usage and gain only a little value.
