Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade

The process of upgrading an item, often called "upping," improves an item's stats. Each upgrade increment gives an increase in linearity of the stats of a particular.

Players can recycle up to six items at a time to gain an ability to gauge the level of each of the upgraded components. The cost of recycling an item increases with its rarity and level.

Upgrade components

A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the effectiveness of your weapon and armor. Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by a certain range. This is clearly displayed on the item level upgrade's page when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This isn't the actual amount by which glyphs can improve a stat, but the maximum amount by which it can do so. The value of the glyph depends on the tier and the quality of the item that you are enchanting.

The majority of upgrade components that are inserted into items can't be removed or replaced without removing them, with the exception of legendary upgrades and equipment. If you have a rune or glyph you do not want to use, but it hasn't been incorporated to gear yet, you can move the item to another piece by using the Upgrade Glyphs menu in the Glyphs Panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the selected glyph.

If you want to remove the glyph from an item then you'll need to salvage it using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool. The item where the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved with the glyph shards.

The system of rerolls has been criticised by players for being too expensive and it's more equitable to let players pay for it using money or food items which would allow players to alter their builds without spending too much time and energy. The developers have no plans to offer paid rerolls in this stage in the game's development. They're planning to include a potion that will allow players to alter their race in the near future.

Leveling

There are a number of ways to boost the value of an item upgrade. The first is to increase the amount of upgrade which boosts the value of an upgrade for the stat.
