WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in certain statistics. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item upgrade by 3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item level Upgrade will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrading will vary based on the current item level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. For instance, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players through item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor using a button, which displays an item's preview at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Crests

The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
