The i3+ isn't able to have the same obstacle avoidance capabilities as the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. It can be stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces, like carpet and hardwood.

iRobot suggests cleaning up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums before using it. This includes putting away any toys or clutter it may encounter. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid becoming clogged. If the i3+ EVO's internal bin is full or its battery is empty it goes back to its docking station, automatically emptying its trash into the station's external dustbin and then resumes cleaning the area where it began. The battery's life span is approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes three hours to fully charge.

2. Roomba from iRobot

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the top model of the flagship line from iRobot and is equipped with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. -- the most important feature of all -- it comes with a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the main sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.

The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, a system that allows it to identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also works with iRobot Home to schedule cleaning jobs, and you can control your robot through the app or via voice.

In our testing the i7+ performed more agile and faster than our second-placed model which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface types, including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy, though it self-empties its dust bin, which eliminates a major cause of maintenance and top Rated robot vacuum cuts down on the amount of time spent cleaning.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services which we used to instruct the robot to start, stop or pause its cleaning routines and move around the room cleaning robot and sweep an area.
