However unlike the i7+ or other top rated robots we tested, the i3+ doesn't have obstacle-avoidance capabilities, so it may get stuck on things like socks or power cords and it may have trouble traversing transitions across surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.

iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, which includes clearing out any clutter or toys it may come across. In our tests the i7+ was faster and more maneuverable than our top choice, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it took large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds including carpeting. We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services.
