Top Rated Robot Vacuums

The i3+ isn't able to feature obstacle avoidance features like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. It could get stuck on power cords and socks and have difficulty navigating between surfaces, such as rug and hardwood.

iRobot suggests that you clear areas that the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include clearing out any toys or clutter it might encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filters clean to prevent them from getting blocked. When the i3+ EVO's internal bin is empty or the battery is not fully charged, it returns to the docking station and takes the dirt out of the docking station's dust bin. It then continues cleaning where it began. The i3+ EVO's battery can last for about an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes around three hours to fully recharge.

2. iRobot i7+ Roomba

The iRobot Roomba i7+ is the most powerful model in iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with all the latest features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most important feature is the self-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba i7+ can remember up to 10 floor plans and their names thanks to Imprint Smart Mapping, which allows it to create maps of rooms so that it can clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning jobs and direct your robot by voice or through the app.

In our tests the i7+ was quicker and more maneuverable than our second-placed model which was the eufy RoboVac G30, and it removed large chunks of pet hair from all surface types, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin, which removes major maintenance sources and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.

We were also awestruck by the i7+’s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We utilized these services to instruct the robot vacuum cleaner ebay to begin or stop cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and even vacuum a specific area. The biggest issue with the V10 is its sluggish run time. Its marketing claims that it has up to 60 minutes of running time are a bit misleading as CR's tests show. This is a typical not an extraordinary run time for an electric cordless vacuum powered by batteries. It's still enough time to clean most of a typical-sized home however, it's not enough to get every single spot (though an additional run-through often does the trick). This model has its own advantages, however: it's lighter and more maneuverable than older Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeably superior for carpet floors with low pile.

4. iRobot Roomba 694"

The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great choice for those who don't have lots of money to invest in an expensive robot. It could pick up the majority of types of debris and sizes during our testing and often went over the same area several times to give an efficient clean. Its flat front design allows it to reach corners and edges of walls.

Its smart navigation system uses iAdapt to stay clear of obstacles and navigate your home, but it isn't equipped with the mapping capabilities of more sophisticated models such as our top selections, the i3+ EVO and the j7+ series. This means that it may get stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't in good condition, and often runs out of battery power before returning to its base.

The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum hoover is superior in many ways over the Roomba 694 in that it has less parts that require regular cleaning, comes with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtering system, has a lower cost of recurring costs and has more advanced automation abilities and can better move its own. It also has a larger dustbin, and charges more quickly.

The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery longevity than the Roomba 694. It also has physical boundaries and can be controlled using the voice assistant on your smartphone. It also feels more sturdy, has a more powerful motor, and works better on bare floors and carpets with low pile, while providing a wider array of automation options.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a household name in home electronics. It's no surprise that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop. Their Jet Bot AI+ is loaded with cutting-edge onboard intelligence technology to aid in navigation and obstacle avoidance.

The app provides plenty of options to personalize your robotic cleaner, such as virtual barriers, mopping water levels and behavior adjustments docking frequency settings and much more. The app is simple to learn and use, just like other Samsung devices.

In our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86 percent of it. However, it didn't do particularly well with taller objects like cords and socks, which was disappointing. It's also more expensive than the other models that we tested, and this could be a problem for certain shoppers.

The smart vacuum comes with an onboard camera that you can access via the app. You can also set up a live stream from the robot's cleaning station.
