WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you an increase in specific stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also increases the random substatus.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variation (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher item upgrading level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader once every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new equipment. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for weapons, armor, tools and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item level upgrade owners in a variety of currencies. They can also find them on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor with a button, which will show a preview of the item at its next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item Level upgrade and the current item level. For instance, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a variety of crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or crests that are used. Using these new currencies isn't too complicated, but the system does introduce some changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another significant change is that crests only have one usage therefore it's essential to use them properly. For instance it's a good idea make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrade equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning to create.
